Job summary

Caremark Rayleigh is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to support our customers in their homes across Rayleigh and surrounding areas. You would travel to clients’ homes, assist with daily tasks, and promote independence with dignity and respect.

The role includes help with bathing and dressing, meal planning, light shopping, medication prompting, and social activities. We offer paid training, free uniform, mileage and bus fare contributions, and flexible working hours.

• Meet the support requirements of customers in their homes and promote independence
• Travel to customers' homes to assist with daily tasks as agreed with Caremark
• Provide help with bathing, dressing, and domestic tasks as needed
• Support customers with meals, shopping, and daily routines
• Encourage socialising, leisure activities, and community access

Job description

Location: Rayleigh, Essex

Salary: from £13 per hour

Hours: Full Time/Part Time

You would be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You would be expected to travel to the customer’s home and assist them with daily tasks as agreed between the customer and Caremark.

The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family. For instance, you may be providing help with bathing and dressing or domestic support.

Your role would include helping customers with tasks such as:

• Help with washing & dressing
• Shopping & meal preparation
• Prompting with medication
• Support with daily routines
• Respite services
• Socialising and leisure activities
• Helping customers access the community
