Job summary

Caremark on Canvey Island, Essex is hiring Care Assistants to support our customers at home. You will travel to clients and help with daily tasks, promoting independence and dignity.

Duties include helping with bathing, dressing, medication prompting, shopping, meal prep, and facilitating social activities. We offer paid training, mileage and uniform, with flexible working hours.

Qualifications

• We can only accept applications from candidates who already have the eligibility to work in the UK.
• We can only accept applications from candidates who own their own vehicle and have a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client homes to provide personalised care and support.
• Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing and domestic chores.
• Support with shopping, meal preparation and prompting with medication.
• Encourage social activities and help clients access the community.

Job description

Location: Canvey Island, Essex
Salary: from £13 per hour
Hours: Full Time/Part Time

You would be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You would be expected to travel to the customer’s home and assist them with daily tasks as agreed between the customer and Caremark.

The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family. For instance, you may be providing help with bathing and dressing or domestic support.

Your role would include helping customers with tasks such as:

• Help with washing & dressing
• Shopping & meal preparation
• Prompting with medication
• Support with daily routines
• Respite services
• Socialising and leisure activities
• Helping customers access the community
