Job summary

Orchard Healthcare Group is seeking a Care Assistant at Penwortham Grange & Lodge Care Home, Preston. You will provide resident care with dignity and respect, supporting daily tasks and activities for individuals in a warm, collaborative team.

The role offers both full-time and part-time hours with day or night shifts, training and development opportunities, and a supportive workplace culture within the Orchard portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Supporting residents in activities, meals, and appointments.
• Maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and reporting changes in wellbeing.
• Acting as a key worker for a group of residents and supporting new staff.

What You'll Be DoingAs a Care Assistant at Penwortham Grange & Lodge Care Home, you’ll be a vital part of our dedicated care team. You’ll support residents with their daily needs, always treating them with dignity, respect, and kindness. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Supporting residents in meaningful activities, leisure outings, and appointments
• Serving meals and refreshments with warmth and courtesy
• Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and welcoming environment
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing
• Acting as a key worker for a group of residents, ensuring care is tailored to their individual preferences
• Supporting new team members and contributing to a positive team culture
