Female Live-in Carer - Dementia Care - £977 per Week
£927 per week + £50 weekly food allowance (£977 per week total)
Radfield Home Care Wakefield & Huddersfield is looking for an experienced Live-in Carer to provide high-quality, person‑centred support for a client within their own home.
The client is living with Dementia and requires compassionate, consistent support from someone who understands the changing nature of dementia and is confident managing unpredictability, disengagement and behavioural changes with patience and reassurance.
This is a long‑term Live‑in Care role where you will work closely with the client and their family to provide outstanding care that promotes dignity, independence and quality of life.
A secondary overnight carer is in place to monitor the client throughout the night due to an unpredictable sleep pattern. This means you will not be solely responsible for overnight monitoring, providing additional support within the care package.
The client's family will provide support during your daily breaks, allowing you to take uninterrupted time away from your caring responsibilities.
As this is a live-in role within the client's home, carers are encouraged to make the most of their breaks by leaving the property where reasonably practicable to rest, recharge or attend to personal errands.
Applicants should therefore be comfortable spending their breaks away from the client's home as part of the agreed care arrangement.
A Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle are preferred but not essential for this role.
Driving is not required as part of your duties and you will not be expected to transport the client. However, having your own transport may make it easier to make the most of your daily breaks.
Radfield Home Care Wakefield & Huddersfield is part of a nationally recognised, multi-award-winning care network.
