Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Tamworth, Lichfield & Nuneaton. You will support customers to live comfortably at home, delivering person-centred care with dignity and respect. Training is provided, with full induction and ongoing expert development.

We offer flexible shift patterns and positions, with a focus on high-quality care and a supportive team environment. Uniform and PPE are provided to help you perform your role with confidence.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate attitude and calm approach to care.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships.
• Able to follow care plans; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meals, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication administration and disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying and laundry.
• Be a dependable friendly presence for customers.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
• Full time / part time positions available
• Full induction and ongoing expert training
• Uniform and PPE provided
• Regular support and ongoing career development
• Friendly, inclusive team with 24/7 support

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
