What you’ll do
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care, among others. We care for and support people of all ages, in the community and in their homes, with conditions like Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and many other complex needs. Every day will be different, and you’ll face new challenges regularly. One thing you can be sure of is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter while developing your skills and knowledge.
This role involves supporting a young lady to attend school and assisting with tasks at home. She lives at home with her parents, older sister, and family dog. She is described by her family as a cheeky diva with an infectious personality. She is sociable, determined, resilient, and amazing. She enjoys spending time with her sister, using her tablet, listening to music, and watching television, with Mr Tumble being one of her favorites.
Qualifications
What you’ll need
Due to the client's needs, experience in catheter care, PEG feeding, suction, cough assist, tracheostomy care, sensory loss, and bladder and bowel care would be desirable.
