Job summary

Windmill Lodge Care Home in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, is recruiting a Care Assistant to provide high quality, person-centred care to residents, supporting daily living, dignity and wellbeing.

You will work as part of a supportive team, following care plans, assisting with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing. The role is open to those with or without prior care experience, with full training and ongoing development offered; weekend flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Job description

Windmill Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 205 bed care home in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.85 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.
You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
