Job summary

Windmill Lodge Care Home in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead engaging, person-centred activities that support wellbeing and social interaction for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will plan a varied programme, tailor activities to individual interests, and work with the team to create a welcoming, inclusive environment. Weekend shifts are required on alternate weeks.

Job description

Windmill Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 205 bed care home in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
