CCH is hiring Complex Care Assistants in Llandudno to support a young man at home with his family. Full training and clinical support are provided to develop and enhance care skills. The role includes day activities and one-to-one night monitoring with emphasis on wellbeing and safety.
We seek enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a willingness to learn; prior complex care experience is beneficial but not required.
Pay: £14.25 per hour for day shifts | £14.75 per hour for night shifts
Shifts:
Day shifts – £14.25 per hour
OR
Night shift – £14.75 per hour
We are looking for at least two Care Assistants to join this package, with one person primarily covering the day shifts and another primarily covering the Wednesday night shift.
Please note that if you are joining us to work the night shift, you will initially need to work some of the day shifts. This will allow you to get to know the client, complete your training and be signed off as competent before working independently at night.
We are CCH. With 14,000 colleagues across 32 care companies, we have one purpose: to make sure no one in need of care is ever forgotten or left behind. We’re not only changing lives, we’re transforming the care sector. Our people-first approach puts care professionals at the centre of everything we do. What you’ll do
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop and enhance your skills in complex care.
You will be supporting a young man who lives at home with his family.
Our day shifts are focused on activities, engagement and supporting him to enjoy his day. You’ll work alongside the existing 2:1 day team, supporting him with his day‑to‑day activities. He enjoys getting out for walks with his care team and family, as well as spending time in his room enjoying sensory lights and music.
Our Wednesday night shift is a 1:1 waking night and is more focused on monitoring, observing and checking his wellbeing throughout the night. This includes monitoring seizures caused by epilepsy and supporting with non‑invasive ventilation when required.
Anyone joining the package specifically for the night shift will first work alongside the day team to build a relationship with the client and complete all required training and competency sign-offs before moving onto lone night shifts.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for people who are excited to enhance and learn new skills. Experience in complex care would be beneficial, but is not essential for this role as we will provide full training.
