Part-time - Morning Care Assistants needed to make a real difference in Lichfield

Location: Lichfield - postcodes WS13 & WS14; Tamworth all postcodes, travelling to and working in Clients own homes

Hours:Morning part time shifts . Those same part-time hours on alternate weekend is necessary.

Pay: Highly competitive hourly rate + paid mileage, waiting time and travel time. Development to higher levels of pay available following a probationary period.

The role:

As a Care Assistant you will support your regular Clients with their morning routine, such as helping them out of bed, preparing breakfast, and personal hygiene routines ,needed to be able to stay safe and well within their own home. Our clients have individual needs and requirements; many require just a small amount of support as they wish to stay as independent as possible. Some see us once a week, some see us 4 times a day. They decide what their support looks like and when they would like a visit, but this could include;

• Providing companionship and emotional support- you may just be the only person your client sees that day.
• Supporting with meal preparation and ensuring appropriate hydration they love a traditional cooked meal and a fabulous cup of tea.
• Light Housework- changing the bed, hoovering or cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. Laundry and tidying the house.
• Supporting Clients taking them to appointments- doctors, dental or hearing
• Trips out and about shops, garden centres, tea rooms their favourite places in community
• Helping with personal hygiene routines- helping someone get ready for their day- getting safely out of bed and all the needs in between
• Support with medication- either prompting or administration

You would be required to write a log after each visit -like a diary on your phone.

Whether its helping someone get ready for their day, sharing a cuppa and a chat, or popping to the shops together, you will be making a difference to someones life.
