Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Care Assistant at Garden City Court Home in Letchworth Garden City. This welcoming 75‑bed residential home values compassion, teamwork and person‑centred care, with shifts across early and late.

You will support residents with daily living, meals and personal care to maintain their independence and dignity. No previous care experience is required; a positive attitude and good communication skills are key.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required if you have empathy and a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills to support residents and families.
• Induction training and ongoing development opportunities are provided.
• Able to work shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• You must be aged 18 or over to apply.

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team at Garden City Court Home in Letchworth Garden City. Garden City Court is a welcoming 75‑bed residential care home where collaboration, compassion, respect, and person‑centred care are at the heart of everything we do, creating a supportive environment for both residents and colleagues.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person‑cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
