Job summary

Help At Home Limited is seeking a caring Care Professional to support clients in their homes. You will follow personalised care plans, provide personal care, assist with medications, mobility, meals, and light housework while offering companionship and promoting independence.

Flexible hours are available with opportunities for paid training and progression to senior roles. You’ll join a supportive team backed by the UK's largest care company, with mileage coverage within local communities.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of social care experience preferred.
  • Heart of gold and ability to sprinkle kindness in every interaction.
  • Willingness to travel between clients within the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care with dignity (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming).
  • Assist with medication preparation and safe administration.
  • Support mobility using aids and assist rehabilitation after hospital stays.
  • Prepare meals and snacks and offer mealtime support.
  • Carry out light domestic duties (laundry, beds, housekeeping).
  • Offer companionship and build meaningful relationships.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice in care.
  • Monitor health and report changes as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Care Professional, you’ll provide essential care and support in the homes of our clients, following personalised care plans that put dignity and respect at the heart of everything you do.

You'll help with:
  • Supporting with personal care – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming with the utmost dignity

  • Assisting with medication – preparation and safe administration

  • Helping with mobility – using aids/equipment safely and supporting rehabilitation after hospital stays

  • Preparing meals/snacks and offering mealtime support

  • Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, household tasks

  • Offering companionship and building meaningful relationships

What Else You’ll Help With
  • Companionship – conversations, activities, outings

  • Social Inclusion – encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and community activities

  • Promoting Independence – ensuring dignity and choice are at the forefront of your care

  • Medication Management – collecting prescriptions, reminders, safe administration

  • Nutrition & Mealtimes – cooking nutritious meals, considering dietary needs

  • Housekeeping – light cleaning, laundry, tidying

  • Mobility Assistance – transfers, walking support, use of aids

  • Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in condition

  • Emotional Support – empathy, reassurance, and a listening ear

  • Documentation – accurate record keeping

  • Safety & Emergency Response – creating safe environments, acting quickly when needed

  • Collaboration – working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families

Qualifications
What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape and Superpowers!)

Hold onto your hats — ideally, you’ll have at least 6 months of social care experience to join our merry band of care crusaders!
