Job summary

Home Instead Huntingdon is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our evenings team. You will work in clients' homes between 5pm and 10pm, Monday to Friday, with alternate weekends, providing personal care, companionship and practical support.

You will accompany clients to appointments, help with meals and light housekeeping, maintain accurate records, and report changes to supervisors. The role requires patience, reliability and the right to work in the UK.

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for client transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required.

  • Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housekeeping tasks.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Huntingdon. We are looking for compassionate home care workers to work in the evenings in Huntingdon between5pm – 10pm Monday to Friday and alternate Weekends.
