Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group's Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay is seeking a Care Assistant – Nights to deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team, ensuring continuity of services for residents.

No experience is required as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence in the role. You will join a warm, dedicated team and grow within Avery's values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable across our network of over 100 homes in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, ensuring dignity and independence.
• Recognise risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and infections, and escalate promptly.
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task. To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Experience is not required as we are proud to offer a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence within your role.
