Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Lavender Lodge Care Home in Hampshire. You will deliver high standards of personal care, support residents, and work closely with the care team to ensure continuity of services.

No experience is required as induction and training are provided. You will embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable while making a positive impact on residents' lives every day.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful to residents and staff.
• Efficient worker capable of taking direction from others.
• Flexible to cover a range of duties at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene while upholding dignity and respect.
• Identify clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate promptly.
• Be courteous to residents and visitors, and uphold the dignity of each person.
• Follow safe working practices across tasks and contribute to a caring environment.

Job description

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.


• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.


• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.


• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
