Job summary

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistant to join the team at Market House in Wimborne, Dorset. The role offers an hourly rate of £13.70 and an additional up to £1.30 for evenings and weekends. Two shift patterns are available, with hours from 08:30 to 13:30.

You will support residents with daily care, housekeeping and activities to promote health and happiness. We welcome applicants with care or support experience and a passion for helping older people.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
• You will have a passion for wellbeing of older people and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy setting.
• You will deliver excellent customer service and support residents with daily activities.
• Candidates with QCF Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent will be considered.

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistantto join theteam at our Market Housedevelopment inWimborne, Dorset.

Built in 2024, Market House is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 68 apartments with the over 70's in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.

Hourly rate: £13.70 per hour, plus earn up to an additional £1.30 for working evening and weekend hours

Two shift patterns are available, depending on your preference.

Shift Pattern one:

Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri 08.30 until 13.30

Week 2 - Mon, Wed, Sat and Sun 08.30 until 13.30

Shift Pattern Two

Week 1 - Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri 08.30 until 13.30

Week 2 - Mon 08.30 until 13.30, Wed 2pm --7pm Sat and Sunday 4pm til 9pm

About the role: As a Care Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Duties will be varied and include supporting and encouraging our residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping. Every day will be diverse, and you’ll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.

About you:

• You will be a warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
• You will have a passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of team in a busy work setting.
• You will be driven to deliver excellent customer service.
• You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification,although consideration will be given to a candidate with an alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
