The Care Assistant role involves providing homecare services to our customers, including health & wellbeing activities, housekeeping, personal care, and companionship.

Care Assistants are expected to uphold Audley’s commitment to high-quality, compassionate care that complies with CQC standards, supporting re-enablement and demonstrating understanding, empathy, respect, and warmth to our customers.

What will I do?
  1. Visit village & community customers daily, following their personal care plans, which include personal care, assisting with daily tasks such as getting in and out of bed, washing, bathing, dressing, supporting mealtimes, and medication administration.
  2. Perform house duties like fitness support, health awareness programs, cooking, laundry, vacuuming, ironing, and other housework. Support customers attending medical appointments, collecting prescriptions, and home from hospital support.
  3. Encourage customers to be as independent as possible in daily activities, including personal care and exercise.
  4. Liaise with family members as required.
  5. Respect customers' dignity and privacy.
  6. Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies and behaviors.
  7. Attend all relevant and mandatory training to improve skills and understanding.
  8. Based within the community; a driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred.
Key Skills & Requirements
  • Support from the Audley Academy for newcomers, including a full induction and care certificate completion.
  • Funding for QCF Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Use of company mobile and app for managing schedules and communication.
  • Ability to complete electronic logs accurately, following care plans and medication instructions.
  • Good knowledge of the local area.
  • High standards of personal presentation and hygiene, including uniform, jewelry, nails, and hair.
  • Effective time management and adaptability to meet customer needs.
  • Act as a role model through excellent customer, owner, and team service.
