Job summary

Comfort Call Limited in Gloucester is hiring a Care Assistant to provide essential in-home care, following personalised plans that prioritise dignity and respect for clients in their own homes.

You’ll receive guaranteed hours for the right candidates, funded NVQ/Diploma Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care, paid training, and clear career progression within the UK’s largest care company. No prior experience required, just warmth and commitment.

Qualifications

• Hold onto your hats — ideally, you’ll have at least 6 months of social care experience.
• What matters most is your heart of gold, kindness, resilience, and eagerness to learn.
• Must have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
• Willingness and ability to travel between clients within the local community.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with dignity during daily routines.
• Assist with medication preparation and safe administration.
• Support mobility and transfers using appropriate aids and equipment.
• Prepare meals and snacks, offering mealtime support.
• Carry out light domestic duties and household tasks.
• Offer companionship and build meaningful relationships with clients.
• Monitor health, observe changes, and report to the care team.

Job description

As a Care Professional, you’ll provide essential care and support in the homes of our clients, following personalised care plans that put dignity and respect at the heart of everything you do.

You’ll help with:

• Supporting with personal care – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming with the utmost dignity
• Assisting with medication – preparation and safe administration
• Helping with mobility – using aids/equipment safely and supporting rehabilitation after hospital stays
• Preparing meals/snacks and offering mealtime support
• Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, household tasks
• Offering companionship and building meaningful relationships

• Companionship – conversations, activities, outings
• Social Inclusion – encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and community activities
• Promoting Independence – ensuring dignity and choice are at the forefront of your care
• Medication Management – collecting prescriptions, reminders, safe administration

Qualifications

What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape and Superpowers!)
