Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen, part of CCH, in Flint is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to support a young child overnight. The role runs Monday–Sunday, 22:00–07:00, with care tasks including manual handling, gastrostomy feeds, and respiratory monitoring.

You’ll work in a home-care setting, with training provided and DBS checks funded. Opportunities for progression and national mobility within CCH are available.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with complex needs in a home care setting is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in respiratory management, PEG feeding and catheterisation would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of care through the night.
• Assist with manual handling as required.
• Administer feeds and medication through a gastrostomy.
• Monitor skin and tissue viability.
• Oversee respiratory care with BiPAP as needed during day and night.
• Perform intermittent catheterisations every 4 hours during the day.

Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care through the night.

Their care needs consist of:

• Support with manual handling
• Feeds and Medication Administration through Gastrostomy
• Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
• Respiratory requirements - non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) with full face mask for daytime sleeps and overnight. Monitoring saturations and oxygen requirements
• Incontinence care - 4 hourly intermittent catheterisations during day time.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

For this role, experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting would be preferred, but is not essential. Experience in respiratory management, PEG feeding and catheterisation would be beneficial.
