Job summary

Caring Homes is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our residential care team in the United Kingdom. You will provide person-centred care and support residents with daily living activities, while working to the highest standards.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with 8pm–8am shifts and alternate weekends. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant or similar in residential or nursing homes.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility and feeding.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate records where required.
  • Support and mentor junior care staff to maintain care standards.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans with healthcare professionals and families.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure high care standards.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and families.

Job description

  • Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and other staff members. Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for providing personalised, high-quality care. Full time; 40 hours per week
  • Shifts include alternate weekends
  • 8pm until 8am
