Job summary

Avon Search in Fareham is seeking a Care Assistant for a Grade II listed Georgian care home. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to up to 34 residents, helping with personal care, mobility, and daily living while preserving dignity and independence.

The ideal candidate is caring, reliable and compassionate, with good communication and teamwork. NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care desirable; full-time; day or night shifts; training opportunities.

The home features 26 individually decorated bedrooms, furnished to a high standard in a charming country-living style. Privately owned, the service provides a warm, comfortable, and caring environment where residents can enjoy a happy and fulfilling new chapter in their lives.

The Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents. You will help ensure each individual feels safe, comfortable, respected, and valued, promoting their dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence.
• Providing compassionate support tailored to each resident's individual needs.
• Helping residents maintain their dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
• Supporting residents with mobility and safe movement around the home.
• Encouraging social interaction and participation in activities.
• Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns.
• Following health and safety procedures and safeguarding policies.
• Contributing to a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented environment.
