Care Assistant

Location: Richmond Village, Aston-on-Trent, Derby, DE72 2EA

Salary: £12.60ph & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent - Full & Part Time

Shifts: 12 hrs 8-8pm & 8-8am shifts available & weekends on rota

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Assisting residents with a high standard of clinical, social and emotional care. Recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents.
  • Answering emergency bells or calls from residents, assessing the situation, dealing with residents seeking help, and summoning the senior care staff whenever necessary.
  • Assisting residents who need help with the activities of daily living, including meal preparation, washing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene as documented in their care plan.
  • Helping residents with mobility problems, including transferring residents using appropriate equipment and assisting with the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
  • Being part of a team supporting the senior care assistant in monitoring our residents and reporting changes.
  • Communicating with residents’ families, friends, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Completing a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
