Qualifications

• 6 months professional UK-based care experience required.
• Experience with Complex Care: Cerebral Palsy and Brain Injuries.
• Must have Full Right to Work in the UK.

• Communicate effectively with the client using aids when necessary.
• Provide personal care while ensuring dignity and respect.

We are recruiting a team of Care Assistants to provide care for our young client in Little Bentley, Essex, just outside Colchester.

Our Client

Our 6-year-old client’s complex needs stem from their brain injury. You will be assisting with his Cerebral Palsy and his medications via his PEG.

He is a playful, energetic boy who loves to play, socialise and learn - is highly intelligent, loves a good science experiment and is always on the go! He communicates using his eye gaze, dashes about everywhere in his walker, and is very much in charge of directing his own fun.

Working knowledge of Play-Doh recipes is essential, alongside a sense of adventure, a good imagination, and a lot of energy. He swims regularly, and we are looking to hire someone fun who can make each day as interactive as possible!

• Weekdays: 15:30 – 21:30.

Responsibilities

• To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
• To confidently and clearly communicate with the client and using aids where necessary.
• To show the client dignity and respect when providing personal care to the client.
• To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.

Requirements

• Clear spoken English.
