Job summary

The Priory Care Home in Chippenham is seeking a warm, dedicated Care Assistant to join the night team from 10pm to 7:30am. No experience is required as a comprehensive induction and NVQ training are provided, with DBS checks funded by us.

The Care Assistant Role

We are looking for a warm, dedicated Care Assistant to join our night team, working hours of 10pm to 7:30am. This is a genuinely rewarding role where you will be at the very heart of everything we do — providing person-centred care that enables our residents to rest comfortably and safely throughout the night.

No previous care experience is required. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role — we cover the full cost on your behalf.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents throughout the night shift
• Support residents with personal hygiene, repositioning and comfort needs
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes to the nurse in charge
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
• Respond calmly and professionally to residents who require reassurance during the night
• Support residents with early morning personal care and getting ready for the day
• Carry out domestic duties as required to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
• Work collaboratively with night team colleagues and handover to the day team

What are the night shift hours?

Our night shift runs from 10pm to 7:30am. You will be working as part of a small, dedicated team providing overnight care and support to our 23 residents.
