Job summary

CCH Group (Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH) in Brighton is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to provide specialised home-based care for a young client. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop skills across PEG feed management, moving and handling equipment, and medication administration.

You’ll support a wheelchair-bound university student overnight, with shift patterns that include day or night coverage.

Qualifications

• Background in care is advantageous, but not essential.
• Experience with PEG feed management is beneficial.
• Experience with medication administration is beneficial.
• Experience with moving and handling equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex care support with PEG feed management, moving and handling equipment, and medication administration.
• Support a wheelchair-bound student with spinal muscular atrophy, including overnight care.

What you'll do

Join us as a Complex Care Assistant and expand your skills with full training and clinical support in areas such as PEG feed management, moving and handling equipment and medication administration. You’ll be supporting a young, wheelchair-bound university student with spinal muscular atrophy, supporting the client overnight.

Previous experience in a complex care assistant role is not essential, but a background in care and experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:

• PEG Feed Management
• Medication Administration
• Moving & Handling Equipment.
