Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group (CCH) is recruiting a Complex Care Assistant in Brighton. You will deliver high-quality care to a wheelchair-bound university student, with full training and clinical support provided. The role includes overnight care and close collaboration with a trained team.

No prior complex care experience is required, but a care background and willingness to learn are highly valued, with extensive induction and DBS checks offered.

Qualifications

• Background in care is beneficial.
• Experience as a Complex Care Assistant is not essential but advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake full training and induction.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex care support including PEG feed management, medication administration and safe moving and handling.
• Support a wheelchair-bound student overnight as part of a care plan.

What you’ll do

Join us as a Complex Care Assistant and expand your skills with full training and clinical support in areas such as PEG feed management, moving and handling equipment and medication administration. You’ll be supporting a young, wheelchair-bound university student with spinal muscular atrophy, supporting the client overnight.

Previous experience in a complex care assistant role is not essential, but a background in care and experience in the following would beextremely advantageous:
