Job summary

Care By Us, part of the CCH Group, is seeking compassionate Care Professionals to join our Hertsmere and South Hertfordshire team. This community-based role requires travel to clients' homes across Potters Bar, Borehamwood, Bushey and surrounding areas, with a full driving licence and own vehicle essential.

We offer highly competitive pay (£14.70–£16.50 per hour) plus 30p per mile, guaranteed hours, and full shift pay opportunities.

Work LocationsAs this is a community-based role, you will be traveling to support clients within their local communities. We proudly provide high-quality care across the region, primarily covering:

• Borehamwood & Elstree (WD6):Borehamwood and Elstree.
• Bushey & Surrounds (WD23):Bushey and Bushey Heath.

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role due to the geographical nature of the rounds.

Job Description

What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll help vulnerable clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Following personalised care plans designed to promote dignity and respect, your responsibilities will include:

• Medication support (preparation and administration)
• Mobility support (including the safe use of aids and equipment)
• Mealtime support (preparing meals/snacks, and feeding if required)
• Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care)
• Companionship (building meaningful relationships and emotional support)

What Else You’ll Help With

• Companionship – conversations, activities, outings
• Mobility Assistance – transfers, walking support, use of aids
• Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in condition
• Social Inclusion – helping maintain community and family connections
• Emotional Support – empathy, reassurance, and a listening ear
• Safety & Emergency Response – creating safe environments, acting quickly when needed
• Collaboration – working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families

Qualifications

What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape!)You don’t need formal care experience! The skills you’ve gained from raising a family, caring for loved ones, or running a household are exactly what makes a brilliant Care Professional. Full, paid training is provided. We’re looking for:
