Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Limited in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support two paediatric siblings with Congenital Myopathy. You will assist with tracheostomy and ventilator care, PEG feeding, mobilisation and daily personal and social activities, working closely with mum and family to enable participation in family life.

Full training is provided; prior experience with children or in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nurse Led Training provided.
• Experience working with Children preferred.
• Experience working in Healthcare or Social Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for two paediatric siblings with Congenital Myopathy, support their mum and family with care needs, including tracheostomy, ventilator care and PEG feeding, plus mobilisation and personal/social support.

Pay Rate:£14.40 Per Hour Days and £14.80 Per Hour Nights and Weekends

Shifts Available:

Nights

9:00pm - 7:00am

7am - 3pm day

12 hours weekend support but shifts at weekend may vary

Job Description

This role is looking after two paediatric siblings with Congenital Myopathy, supporting their mum and extended family with their care. They require tracheostomy and ventilator care, PEG feeding, mobilisation and support with personal and social aspects of life. You will be making a difference to their lives ensuring they can participate in family life as appropriate, help support mum with their care needs, their needs vary day to day so this is a role you really can make your own and help create a strong bong with the family and siblings.

Qualifications

You will get Nurse Led Training.

Experience working with Children preferred.

Experience working in Healthcare or Social Care preferred.
