Job summary

Avery Healthcare's Beaconsfield Heights Care Home is seeking a warm and dedicated Care Assistant to join a close-knit team. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to continuity of services for residents in a supportive environment.

Training is provided through a thorough induction. DBS clearance is required and the role supports residents with dignity, autonomy, and compassionate care within a culture of respect.

Qualifications

  • Experience not required; full induction and training provided.
  • DBS check required; cost covered by employer.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, promoting independence, dignity and respect.
  • Identify clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate risks promptly.
  • Treat residents and visitors with courtesy, maintaining dignity and individuality.
  • Follow safe systems of work across routine tasks.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
