Job summary

Connected Health in Bangor is seeking a Care Assistant to support clients at home. No prior experience required as accredited training and development are provided. Roles include personal care and daily living support, with emphasis on dignity and client preferences.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available. A valid driver’s license and own car are required, with earnings up to £14.10 per hour and a sign-on bonus after 3 months. Training and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous homecare experience is helpful but not required.
• Good standard of English (written and spoken).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car.
• Flexibility to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support per each service user's care plan.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report changes in a user’s condition to the supervisor.
• Complete documentation and timesheets.
• Attend induction, training, and team meetings.
• Maintain and develop knowledge via ongoing training.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience in homecare is helpful but not essential
• Communication Skills: Good standard of English, both written and spoken
• Driver Requirement: Must have a valid driver's licence and access to your own car
• Flexibility: Must be available to to work alternative weekends

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with each service user's individual care plan, preferences and needs.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices at all times.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report any changes in a service user's condition or circumstances to the relevant supervisor.
• Follow Connected Health policies, procedures, Health and Safety requirements and on-call guidance.
• Complete all required documentation, including care records and timesheets.
• Attend induction, training, supervision and team meetings as required.
• Maintain and develop knowledge and skills through ongoing training and experience.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Service Manager, following any required training.

To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
