Care Assistant. Location: Warren Lodge Care Home, Warren Ln, Ashford TN24 8UF. Salary: £13.10 - £14.10 per hour depending on experience. Contract: Permanent - Full time and part time hours available. Carehome.co.uk rating: 9.7/ 10.

About Warren Lodge Care Home

Warren Lodge provides person-centred care for people living with dementia, including residential and nursing care. This purpose-built home has dementia champions who work to improve the quality of life for residents through daily activities and opportunities for reminiscence and stimulation. The home offers both long-term and respite care - stay for a few weeks or long as you need. Large lounges and a pleasant sunroom are just a few of the up-to-date comforts available. There is also a dedicated cinema room fitted with cinema seats and a large screen television for film afternoons. An open kitchen is available for residents to make their own snacks and drinks, as and when they wish. All meals are prepared by chefs using only fresh ingredients. A full programme of activities aimed at all abilities is always available. Residents who enjoy gardening are encouraged to stay involved in the secure garden with its raised flower beds, allotment and greenhouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
