Job summary

Hutchinson Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support our residents at our Antrim home. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care with warmth, dignity and respect, helping residents with daily activities and offering companionship to enhance wellbeing.

As part of a frontline team, you will follow care plans, work closely with nursing staff, and contribute to a welcoming, supportive home environment where residents feel valued and secure.

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
• Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
• Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
• Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

The Home

Antrim Care Home has been at the forefront of elderly care within Northern Ireland for over 30 years.
This award winning home provides the local community with an assurance that when Nursing care for an older person is required , then Clareview can be relied upon to offer a consistently high standard.

The Role

You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents. As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents.
