Job summary

Amgen UK is seeking an experienced Therapy Area Head for Cardiometabolic to lead all medical activities, inspire the medical team and drive strategies for inline and pipeline products. You will oversee lifecycle management, engage with stakeholders, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration within UK & Ireland.

The role requires GMC-registered medical degree, senior Medical Affairs leadership experience, and proven ability to drive strategy across product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with GMC registration.
• Proven leadership in Medical Affairs.
• Experience leading medical strategy across product lifecycle.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytics.
• Experience with NHS context in the UK is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute TA medical strategies, annual planning, launch preparation and lifecycle management.
• Provide strategic oversight of lifecycle management across the portfolio.
• Set the strategy for scientific engagement with stakeholders.
• Line manage medical advisors, scientific communications colleagues, or MSLs.
• Serve as a senior member of the BU leadership team and shape TA strategy.
• Own key KOL relationships and act as country brand ambassador to Global TA teams.
