Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Registered Nurse (part-time) to support Ward 7 and the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This role focuses on leadership, high-quality clinical care, and development of the ward team in a dynamic cardiology/endocrinology setting.

You will work 7.5 hours per week, provide mentorship and leadership within the multidisciplinary team, and contribute to ensuring continuity of care while upholding service standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a mentorship qualification (or equivalent).
• Band 5 experience within cardiology is required.
• Strong team leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Ward Manager in leadership and management of the unit team.
• Assist in development, monitoring and implementation of high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Act as a role model for staff and support colleagues across the multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate initiative and work collaboratively to maintain/drive service standards.
