Education
The Clinical Nurse Educator for Cardiology will join the existing the CNE team in providing education and training to all nursing staff within Cardiology. You will cover ACU, Papplewick ward, Patience 1 and the Cardiac catheter laboratory, ensuring the high quality of education provision within these areas. This will involve delivering regular mandatory training alongside in house specialised training programmes.
A proactive role model who leads in the clinical environment on the provision of clinical education and assessment of competence in the ward /department
Supports and deputises for the ward manager, taking managerial, clinical, and professional responsibility for a team of nurses.
Supports staff, ensuring the provision of high quality patient care in the most efficient and safe manner in accordance with directorate and hospital policies and procedures

Delivery of Mandatory Training as per Trust policies and procedures.
Support of new and existing staff on the wards to ensure safe and effective practice
Assessment of cardiology specific competencies within all cardiology ward areas.
Delivery of specialised education programmes to both registered and unregistered staff.
Work within the wider medicine education team to ensure efficient training and development across the medical division.
Support the wider workforce team with any training/education needs.
