Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Shunter Driver for a Cardiff site-based role. You will move products and trailers across the industrial estate, obeying site procedures and safety rules while supporting continuous goods flow.

The role offers a rotating three-shift pattern with pay reflecting mornings, afternoons, and nights, plus a 10%/30% shift premium and a potential annual bonus. Regular hours, progression, and company benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph/Driver Card.
• Experience as Shunter or Class 1 Driver in a busy site.
• Experience securing loads on flatbed and curtain-sided vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Shunting and moving products and trailers between locations across the industrial estate.
• Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently within a busy manufacturing and logistics environment.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Follow daily transport planning instructions and movement requirements.
• Position vehicles to support loading, unloading and site operations.
• Secure loads safely on various vehicle types and routes.
• Maintain health and safety standards on-site and when road driving.
• Adapt to changing priorities and complete relevant movement documentation.
