Job Title: Cardiac MRI Lead Radiographer

Location: St Bartholomew's Hospital, Nuffield Health, London

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Lead to join our team at our new flagship hospital in London. As a Cardiac MRI Lead Radiographer, you will bring your technical expertise, compassionate patient care, and leadership skills to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical operations of the MRI department, including ward and theatre responsibilities
• Deliver a comprehensive diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload
• Collaborate with leading practitioners and experience new practices, equipment, and facilities
• Develop policies and procedures, supervise, and mentor junior team members
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism in line with MHRA guidelines and local policies
• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures, including specialized cardiac MRI scans, adhering to technical and safety standards
• Coordinate the cardiac MRI service with cardiologists and administrative staff
• Ensure ongoing professional development and stay updated with MRI advancements
• Practice in accordance with HCPC, Society of Radiographers, and Nuffield Health codes of conduct

Qualifications and Skills

• BSc degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in MRI or related field
• Radiation Protection Supervisor training (preferred)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills
• Caring and empathetic approach to patient care
