Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (NHS) is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer to join the Cardiac Physiology team on a part-time basis (17 hours per week). The role involves performing ECGs on adults and paediatrics, placing electrodes accurately and ensuring high-quality traces, with a pro rata salary of £26,813–£27,890 per year.

The post requires good teamwork, communication skills, and preferably the ability to speak Welsh.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
• Examples of teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs on adults and paediatric patients with high accuracy.
• Place electrodes according to SCST guidelines to obtain a good trace.
• Troubleshoot ambulatory monitoring (Event, 24h, 48h, 7 day, BP) and connect equipment.
• Instruct patients on equipment use and set event monitor mode per patient symptoms.
