Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager on the cardiac day case unit at GUH to join our team. The Band 6 role supports the Senior Manager in leadership and management, developing high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to ensure continuity of service and standards.

The post is seconded for 6 months. The Ward Manager role serves as a role model, sharing knowledge and supporting the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Meets all essential criteria as per attached job description/person specification

Responsibilities

• To assist with the management of the ward on a day to day basis by supporting and acting on behalf the ward manager.
• To be aware and demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing.
• Work in conjunction with other disciplines in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• To promote evidence based practise and act as an accountable role model and clinical expertise.
