Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Miller / Programmer for an Arundel-based role. You will set up, program and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines, machinating high-value carbon fibre components with Heidenhain controls.

The position involves on/off machine work and collaboration on process development. The role offers flexible shift patterns, night and weekend shift premiums where applicable, and the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Machinist or Programmer.
• Strong ability to set up and operate CNC milling machinery.
• Experience programming Heidenhain-controlled machines.
• Experience with 5-axis machining centres.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Independent worker with ownership of machining tasks.
• Experience machining complex, high-value components.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and programme 5‑axis CNC milling machines.
• Manufacture complex carbon fibre components to tight tolerances.
• Create and modify CNC programs using Heidenhain controls.
• Support offline programming with VISI and Hypermill when needed.
• Conduct machine set-ups, prove-outs and first-off inspections.
• Monitor machining operations for quality and efficiency.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models and specifications.
• Collaborate to resolve machining challenges and improve processes.
• Assist with new machinery commissioning and tech upgrades.
