Job summary

APCOA PARKING UK in Doncaster is seeking a Car Park Security & Maintenance Operative to maintain the car park and equipment to required safety and security standards, while delivering a professional and courteous service to customers and the client.

The role covers on-site duties, routine inspections, basic repairs, and monitoring of safety and security systems. It is a 32-hour week (3 days on, 3 days off), with opportunities for training, pension, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine maintenance tasks.
• Experience as a security guard or relevant position.
• Experience working in a customer service environment.
• Strong organisational and follow up skills.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Strong time management skills.
• A reliable and responsible attitude to work and proactive nature.
• Driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deal with client and customer enquiries on site or refer to management.
• Keep site clean, tidy and hazard free; perform litter patrols.
• Report elements of service that could affect quality.
• Ensure high level of customer care and respond to help points.
• Assist with car park tasks and support team members.
• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
• Oversee contractors for repairs.
• Perform regular security patrols of the property.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and access points.
• Complete reports documenting observations and incidents.
• Ensure safety and security during closed hours.
