Newstaff Employment are currently recruiting temporary Full-Time Yard Operatives to work for our client based in Crawley.

Requirements

• Have no more than 6 points on your license.
• Held license for more than 2 years.
• License must be UK and manual.
• Good English and communication skills are essential.
• Customer Service Skills.
• Perform daily vehicle checks.
• £12.44 per hour.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, between 8am-6pm.

About the Role

• Store and park all vehicles on site between the yard and the auction halls, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the auction halls in accordance with the notified sale day programme.
• Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys.
• Electronically log and remove any valuable items left in vehicles.
• Be responsible for jump-starting vehicles when needed; on-site training will be provided.
• Line and lot vehicles for auction, ensuring they are neat, tidy, and presentable for auction.
• Maintain a safe driving standard and adhere to speed limits on site at all times. Take care and responsibility for all cars in your care and follow site and national speed limits.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s health and safety standards and practices to prevent accidents to vehicles and personnel.
• Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
• Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to meet operational requirements.
