Job summary

Essential Employment seeks a Capital Quantity Surveyor for Redditch on a full-time, temporary contract. The role is largely on-site with some site visits and requires a driving licence. The successful candidate will prepare tender documents, manage bills of quantities, and handle valuations and variations.

Undertaking measurements, final accounts, and reporting will be key duties, alongside staying current with standard measurement methods and contract forms. Salary is £33.43 per hour (PAYE).

Qualifications

• Driving licence required.
• 5 days on site; some days may be out to sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents including Tenders, Bills of Quantities, Work Schedules, Specifications, and Schedule of Rates.
• Procure goods, services, and works contracts; participate in tender evaluations and report outcomes.
• Undertake site measurements and valuation of works; prepare payment notices and related documentation.
• Prepare and agree costs for variations and non-standard items of work.
• Analyse and agree claims and final accounts.
• Produce accurate financial reports for projects and contracts.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard methods of measurement and standard forms of contracts.
• Assess, collate, and present leaseholder contributions and service charges; conduct reviews as required.
• Assist and prepare returns associated with Government or Regulator requirements and external funding providers.
