Job summary

Brenntag UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Engineer in Leeds to lead and deliver capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence. You will manage scopes, specs, schedules, and stakeholder input, coordinate contractors, and provide engineering support across operations while upholding process safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• HND/degree or equivalent in mechanical, chemical, process or electrical engineering.
• Experience delivering engineering projects in manufacturing or process environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital investment and operational improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, business cases and execution plans.
• Prepare and maintain schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and contractors to meet objectives.
• Ensure successful commissioning, start-up and handover to operations.
