Job summary

Associated British Ports (ABP) is recruiting an experienced Development Manager to join the Projects team in the Humber region. You will lead development from initial concept through feasibility, coordinating inputs to form robust business cases for capital maintenance and EBITDA programmes.

Working closely with Property, Commercial and Operations teams, you will manage scope, cost, programme and risk, ensuring safe delivery within a live port environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of developing capital projects £100k–£20m, from initial concept through feasibility.
• Ability to coordinate engineering, commercial and support functions to deliver robust business cases.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop project briefs, feasibility outputs, budgets, programmes and risk registers.
• Lead development from concept through Strategic Definition and Feasibility.
• Coordinate inputs to create deliverable business cases for capital projects.
• Proactively manage stakeholders and maintain alignment between sponsors, port operations and delivery teams.
• Ensure CDM, safety and environmental requirements are considered in development.
• Maintain development pipeline information and report on status, cost and actions.
