About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Capital Delivery Team as a Capital Delivery Project Manager. You will support project teams across the council in delivering a diverse range of capital-funded projects, including housing, schools, leisure, waste, transport, and parks.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills by critically assessing projects of various sizes and experiencing how the Council’s leadership makes decisions to enable positive change in the borough.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

The Capital Delivery Team is a small but vital part of the Council’s Capital Programme. Reporting to the Head of Capital Delivery, you will work closely with another Capital Delivery Project Manager and a Capital Support Officer. The team is part of the Climate and Strategic Programmes division and works closely with various departments, providing opportunities to learn about new services and share best practices.

Residents are at the heart of our work at Hounslow. Through our ambitious programmes of change, transformation, and capital investment, we aim to deliver support, opportunities, and improvements across the borough that will make a difference for our residents.

About You

• You have experience managing projects or programmes in a complex environment, such as a public sector organisation.
• You are passionate about supporting others to improve their ways of working and can adapt your approach as necessary.
• You are an effective communicator with influencing and coaching skills to support stakeholders across the organisation.
• You can engage with complex concepts and contribute to meetings with senior leaders, as well as frame information appropriately for external stakeholders, including residents.
• Your written skills enable you to deliver reports and support others in improving their reports, even on unfamiliar topics.
• You possess a range of IT skills and can format presentations and spreadsheets for various audiences, ensuring key information is clearly presented.
