Job summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Warwickshire for a Finance Business Partner to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will lead on the financial management, monitoring and reporting of the Capital Programme, ensuring investment is effectively planned, monitored and aligned to strategic priorities.

The role requires AAT qualification with CCAB in progress, strong capital budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and actively studying towards CCAB qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in Local Government finance, including capital programme management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; able to interpret complex financial information.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with stakeholders and managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management, monitoring and reporting of the Capital Programme with robust forecasting and governance.
• Partner with Directors and budget holders to provide financial advice on capital projects and investment decisions.
• Prepare high-quality financial reports, modelling and analysis for strategic planning and budget setting.
• Support year-end accounts, capital accounting, treasury management and external audit.
