Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join the OEGEN Funds Team in London. You will support the Portfolio Manager across four funds focused on Energy Transition assets and Growth equity, turning data into fund-level insight and investor reporting.

You will work with platform leads, asset managers and external valuers to deliver accurate valuation outputs, cashflow forecasting and governance materials while improving data processes and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in fund management, portfolio management or comparable analytical roles.
• Strong financial modelling capability, including DCF and scenario analysis.
• Understanding private fund management processes: valuations, reporting, AUM/NAV and governance.
• Experience with renewable energy, real assets or energy transition investments.
• Experience creating high quality investor outputs.
• CFA qualification considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate investor reporting for assigned funds and strategies, including NAV/AUM, distributions and KPIs.
• Support portfolio management with data, valuation outputs and governance materials.
• Use Excel and Power BI to improve reporting, automation and single source of truth.
• Develop valuation analyses, scenarios and sensitivities to inform portfolio decisions.
• Collaborate with finance, asset managers and external validators to ensure data quality.
