Join us to make a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.

If you want to do more, because you care, we want you on our team.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Are you a passionate people leader who thrives on driving performance, delivering exceptional customer service, and finding smarter ways of working? We're looking for a Capital Income Team Manager to lead a talented team at the heart of our Developer Services operation.

In this role, you'll lead a team of eight colleagues responsible for delivering accurate billing, cash collection, and receivables processes across Severn Trent Water, Hafren Dyfrdwy and other Severn Trent businesses. You'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a seamless experience while helping to drive positive D-MeX outcomes through excellent service, proactive stakeholder engagement, and effective query resolution.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine strong leadership with continuous improvement, helping to shape the future of our processes through digital transformation, automation, and innovation.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, creating an inclusive environment where colleagues can thrive.
  • Ensure billing and receivables activities are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with agreed service levels.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing an excellent customer experience at every stage.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and ways of working.
  • Own and develop team procedures, reporting, and performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Use data and insights to improve efficiencies, service delivery, and financial performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer outcomes and reduce operational costs.
  • Support and lead projects involving automation, system enhancements, digitalisation, SAP, Power BI, and emerging AI solutions.
  • Ensure robust governance, compliance, and financial controls are maintained across all activities.
How We Work

You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we're looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

You'll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That's why, we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive but also understand the flexibility working from home can bring. So, you'll usually find us in the office, but working from home is supported, when you need it.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're keen to hear from people who are natural leaders with a passion for developing others and delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll Bring
  • Experience leading people and driving performance within high-volume transactional or operational teams.
  • A track record of implementing process improvements and delivering positive change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use performance data to drive decisions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement.

Experience within Developer Services, customer-facing environments, or large-scale transformation programmes would be advantageous, but above all we're looking for someone who is motivated to make a positive impact and inspire those around them.
