Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the UK and Ireland sales for capital equipment and manufacturing machinery. You will manage a growing territory, build strong customer relationships and drive revenue across existing and new accounts.

The role involves visiting clients, presenting technical solutions, and collaborating with engineering, production and marketing to win orders. A hybrid remote working model and an attractive package are on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding annual sales targets (>£1 million).
• Experience in packaging/industrial machinery or engineering sales.
• Strong technical understanding is highly desirable.
• Experience as Sales Executive or Business Development Manager or similar role.
• Ability to manage the full sales process from enquiry through to close.
• Strong closing ability with a high conversion rate.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical product value propositions.
• Experience with sales KPIs, forecasting and strategic sales planning.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop UK sales territory to hit targets.
• Build and expand relationships with existing and new accounts.
• Visit customers to understand needs and objectives.
• Identify new business through lead generation and prospecting.
• Prepare quotations, sales proposals and technical presentations.
• Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order.
• Work closely with engineering, production and marketing.
• Attend trade exhibitions and industry events across the UK and internationally.
